What he's got so wrong is the fact that we'd all loved to have been proved wrong, had we continued winning and had a good season we'd all be happy enough wouldn't we? If only most of our performances had been like the Man City home game. They weren't though were they and most of us are fully aware of the FACT that the period in which we were doing well was mostly down to Carrol and Nolan being out injured.

I think we are a little on the opposite divides of the BFS divide, but one thing I thoroughly agree with you about is the self-serving, 'all mates together' attitude of the ex-pro pundits. 'Be careful what you wish for' has an element of truth, but it's one thing for Charlton and another for a much bigger (not giant) club.
Souness, Pearce and co can fuck off. Fair play to Carragher and Redknapp Jnr for at least being in touch enough with fans and about West Ham to understand why the owners' decision was correct.

if he was a clever journo he'd actually write a piece about the 'real' Allardyce, his cronyism, pedantic stubbornness in tactics and anti-football fans attitude "I'm Big Sam and my ego overrides all".
Going with the waves of it being a mistake, which it's not, he's gone down the stream with the other salmon so its passed by very soon - swimming against the tide of opinion would have stood out as an article from an INDEPENDENT brain.

Yo yo club?? 2 relegations and 3 promotions since the Premier League was formed..4 seasons out of it altogether, one being its very first season....half the time in the Premiership finishing in the top half.

I gave him too much, and it lasted well into the turgid spell we've just endured.
He wasn't the first manager to blunder into getting something right.
Got to be one of the few to deliberately go back to the old way, though.

No fans ever wanted us to lose, everybody was ecstatic with the early season form. And then we were left bewildered by Allardyces team selections and substitutions, which invariably snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
If anybody wanted us to lose or at least not bothered either way it was Allardyces, once we were virtually safe he took the piss.
He had his chance and blew it!

I thought Redknapp was the only manager possible to have such a loving and charmed relationship with the media. I was obviously wrong. Still amazed at how they get away with blatant lies and total lack of any acknowledgement that they might be somehow responsible for their actions

Kiran Moodley sounds like the complete tosser that was on Talksport at lunchtime today on their phone in basically calling other west ham fans stupid and to "be careful what you wish for" and how angry he was that Allardyce has gone!
Absolute embarrassment, I gave Allardyce my backing till early 2014 but have since wanted him gone and I didn't trust him to not throw Nolan and Carroll in without them first having to earn their place. What gave Nolan and Carroll the right to walk back into a team that was ripping up the Premier League, in performances which saw us humiliate Liverpool and then relatively comfortably beat Man City at Upton Park. He could see with his own eyes that it was working and working well and he knew our fans were starting to slowly warm to this style almost not wanting to admit we were fucking right. Then came Xmas and then for absolutely no reason he completely ditched the nice football we had craved and threw us back into playing with hoofing up to one up top.I was absolutely and utterly bemused at what he was doing, the injury talk was bullshit as we had back up to continue with two up front.
He also put Downing back out on the wing to accomodate Nolan's return which we all know makes him completely ineffective. DOWNING WAS A REVELATION IN THE MIDDLE WHY CHANGE IT YOU FAT FUCKING JABBA HEAD!!!!
I am not afraid to say that I gave up on us and apart from the odd game pretty much ignored our games each weekend and have done since about March (or West Brom in the cup).
I'm glad he's gone so after all this Kiran fucking Moodley, now tell me how getting rid of the cunt is a bad decision????
Allardyce gave the football we wanted and it worked, he is probably so arrogant he didnt want to admit it. Problem is as well is that all these pundits clearly haven't watched many or any of our games since new year and are basing their opinions on about 5 games at the end of 2014 so think we are bonkers!

Why does it seem to be that as a club we are not allowed to aspire too more and the media and pundits all over are slating us BUT if you're southampton who were never gonna stay in top 4, they are quite rightly justified in thinking so. Don't see what this hate towards us is. We also used to be a favourite of the neutral a few years back, now it seems we are hated by loads.
The sooner we get our man the better and can look forward to next season!

If you read the post properly, there is no way on earth this prick has ever been or ever will be a footballer. just the point about avram grant is enough. Its the only mistake our owners have made during their tenure, NOT sacking him sooner!!
